On Monday, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office (SGP) will again request the immunity of Ceyhan Ibryamov. This was reported to BTA by SGP.
The supervising prosecutor will make a proposal to the I.F. chief prosecutor, in order to trigger the procedure before the new National Assembly.
Ibryamov was released from custody last night because the prosecutor's office revoked his pre-trial detention to allow him to be sworn in as a representative in the new 51st National Assembly.
The moment he took the oath, Ibryamov received a new immunity and according to the Code of Criminal Procedure, the criminal proceedings should be stopped, recalled the SGP.
After Ibryamov is sworn in, the supervising prosecutor will suspend the criminal proceedings and make a proposal to the chief prosecutor to submit a request to the National Assembly for permission to continue the investigation. p>
After the ruling of the National Assembly, the criminal proceedings resume if the immunity is lifted and thus the investigation will be able to continue, the SGP added.
