Once again we are witnessing the replacement of the electoral vote of the Bulgarian citizens. We, the members of the PP “Bulgarian Rise”, also find inconsistencies in the data on the actual vote and the reported election results. The vicious practices that have become public knowledge, both from the media revelations and from our direct observations of the election process, lead us to the conclusion that there are sufficient grounds to cash the election results. According to Art. 150, para. 1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, 1/5 of the people's representatives from the 50th National Assembly, the president, the government, the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court and the chief prosecutor can refer the matter to the Constitutional Court.
This is stated in a party position sent to the media.
„We support the appeals already filed for the complete annulment of the elections, but we realize that in the presence of requests to the Constitutional Court – for partial and full counting of elections, they will probably be combined into one. The result of such a factual situation remains unclear at the moment, therefore we, as citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria and an interested party, will follow the process and express our position in a timely manner,”, state from “Bulgarian Rise”.
According to them, the most important thing that can be seen from the situation created in this way is that the line of tolerance has already been crossed for the vicious, brutal and brazen approach with which our vote is systematically replaced. In such a situation, in which no more than a third of those entitled to vote vote, we cannot continue to talk about small and large parties, as well as about real electoral weight. Practically all parties are small.
„The leadership of the PP „Bulgarian Rise” is already in contact with non-governmental organizations for the implementation of a well-organized and widely represented civil supervision for the implementation of the prevention of election violations. When institutions abdicate key aspects of their professional responsibilities, it is time for civil society to take matters into its own hands and do the work it has currently left in the hands of people whose trust has been so compromised, according to the former caretaker prime minister's party. Stefan Yanev.
Based on the experience and the proven good results in conducting fair elections, they say that they know what needs to be done and how far the legislative, judicial and executive powers go in regulating the electoral process and providing an appropriate environment for its fair conduct. . “That is why we call on all interested citizens and organizations: Join our call and let us help our country get out of this vicious circle, the way out of which we can only find together!“, says the conclusion of “Bulgarian Rise” .
