Petkov: We cannot close our eyes when an entire party enters the National Assembly on the basis of a bought vote

When you have a leadership party, if the leader has support of 3% and his party - of 11.5%, then some 9% turned out to be inexplicable unless those voters were motivated in some other way. There is nothing personal against Peevski, commented the co-chairman of the PP-DB

Petkov: We cannot close our eyes when an entire party enters the National Assembly on the basis of a bought vote - 1

We would be happy if the other parties said: "We cannot allow this attack on democracy". Kiril Petkov, co-chairman of PP-DB, stated this to BNR.

"The last elections that took place in Bulgaria are unacceptable for Bulgarian democracy. We cannot close our eyes when an entire party enters the National Assembly on the basis of a bought and corporate vote.

When you have a leadership party, if the leader has 3% support and his party – of 11.5%, then some 9% have appeared which are inexplicable unless these voters were motivated in some other way. There is nothing personal against Peevski. Anyone who tries to falsify democracy should be told a firm "No"! We don't want them to have a management role in this parliament".

We are ready to immediately enter into negotiations with other political forces if we see that the foundation of democracy is protected, Petkov also stated.

He indicated in the show "Sunday 150" the main points on which PP-DB are ready to negotiate.
"The three laws on the anti-corruption commission, on whistleblowers and on personal bankruptcy, which currently stop ten billion from entering the Bulgarian economy. Sarafov, who is currently preparing to be elected in a one-horse race, by the SJC with an expired term".
He pointed out that "when it was necessary to talk about the regulators in February of this year, we said that we do not want the distribution of quotas in the regulators on the basis of political parties.
"That was when the breakdown started to happen".
Kiril Petkov motivated the decision of PP-DB to sign the appeal to the Constitutional Court of ITN.

"We have stated that we will support all appeals to the Constitutional Court following this massive vote buying. This is before political differences. We support the principle of screening for all abuses. It is not about coalition talks, about friendship.

We have made many mistakes, but not one of our steps was motivated by profit or fear, Petkov also stated.

"This experiment with the Constitution that we did was to try to connect democracy and the prosecution in some more normal way. The prosecutor's office is completely unreformed".

The services are still trying to model some actions in society, the PP-DB co-chairman pointed out.

"If there are still people who can buy hundreds of thousands of votes, it is because these institutions do not work".
