The election of the Speaker for the 51st National Assembly continues on Friday.
"We don't see a change in circumstances, our call from the beginning was for everyone to take a step back, for everyone to withdraw their presidential candidates to unclog the knot. What happened is that many parties did not. GERB did not withdraw their candidate, others also, the majority for the election of the chairman from a purely technical one based on the criteria specified in the Constitution, to a potentially political one that can be used for intrigues and abuses, said Bozhidar Bojanov from "We continue the change- Democratic Bulgaria" in the studio of "The Day ON AIR".

When asked why they will not support Silvi Kirilov again as Speaker of the National Assembly, he replied: "If the first vote of a National Assembly is for the next acting Prime Minister, what do we say? We say we are going to elections. This will disappoint many voters who voted for a government to solve their problems.
"We call for reason, let the parliament start with a technical chairman who is supported by everyone, so that there are no accusations of political majorities and then it does not prevent going through the procedure of the Constitution. Although the first political force continues to not want to form a government, it continues to hide and talk," commented the guest.
He assured that in such moments as the current situation, there are always corridor lines, but also meetings.
"The first political force is not looking for support, it says: "We are sitting with Raya Nazaryan and we will continue to elevate her". This is absolutely frivolous. Their approach is absolutely one of sabotage. They are running away from the first term because they will have to answer for Peevski", Bojanov is categorical.
