A national council was held over the weekend of Mladezhko DPS, in which young people from all over the country took part. The purpose of the forum was to create a platform for open dialogue and exchange of ideas regarding the future development of the youth organization and the vision for Bulgaria.
The youth were welcomed by Dr. Ahmed Dogan with an address in which he especially thanked them for their tireless work during the last election campaign: “Without the Youth DPS, we would not have managed… It is clear why: you are fighting for your future! Keep this quality within you and don't let random and dark entities define your being! Recent events give me reason to think that there must be a serious structural reform in the Authentic DPS and the Youth DPS will necessarily take its rightful place in it.“
The forum discussed key topics such as the modernization of political platforms, the role of young people in society and the development paths of Bulgaria in the context of global challenges.
„A political party has no future if there is no intellectual leadership in it. We have replaced doctors, engineers, lawyers with people who carry votes in their pockets! Time to fix that. If we do not change the idea that parties are created to serve certain community interests and step on values, we cannot talk about the future! We are obliged to restore the people's trust in us and the processes will happen according to the will of the people! We must learn the lessons of history in order to move forward together.“ This is what Ilhan Kyuchuk said during the event that took place over the weekend in Plovdiv.
The young people were also welcomed with a video address by the newly elected chairman of ALDE Svenja Han, by the chairman of the European Liberal Youth and Emir Koric, international secretary of the Liberal Democratic Party, North Macedonia.
Among the guests of the event were Assoc. Dr. Jevdet Chakarov, Ilhan Kyuchyuk, Jeyhan Ibryamov, MPs and members of the DPS.
