The Russian digital agency, which ran the campaign of the nationalist Georgescu in Romania, turned out to be connected to over 50 Bulgarian companies (mostly in the same field), registered in Plovdiv, with the same owner.
This leads to many questions - is there Russian interference in Bulgarian politics (we know there is)? Which parties were supported and how? Is this the answer to the surprising 3.99% of "Greatness"?
This is what PP-DB MP Ivaylo Mirchev wrote on his Facebook page. He continued his comment as follows:
It has been clear for years that Russian propaganda seeps into Bulgaria through financing primarily through Kremlin-linked energy companies. Although in the last more than 2 years that these capital flows were severely limited, it is a fact.
The job of DANS is to work to counteract Russian influence, but this is impossible while DANS itself is under Kremlin influence.
In the case of non-functioning offices and institutions, we will discuss the possibility of creating a parliamentary commission to collect evidence of Russian influence in Bulgaria at all levels.
