There will be snowfall in Southern Bulgaria, the Fore-Balkans and Ludogorie. The amounts will be significant in South-Western Bulgaria and the southern slopes of the Rhodope Mountains and a new snow cover will form. This was announced by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), quoted by BTA.
A weak wind will blow, in the Danube Plain - a moderate wind from the north-northwest and with it the cold will continue. In the mountainous regions there will be conditions for blizzards and drifts. Temperatures will be almost without daily change, mostly between minus 1° and 4°. In Sofia the temperature will be around zero. The atmospheric pressure will increase and will be higher than the average for the month.
On the Black Sea coast it will be cloudy and with rain and snow. A moderate wind will blow from the west-northwest. Maximum temperatures will be between 3° and 5°. The sea water temperature is 8°-11°. The sea waves will be 1-2 points.
In the mountains it will be cloudy, windy and with snowfall, significant in the massifs of Western Bulgaria and the Rila-Rhodope region. A moderate wind will blow, and in the higher parts - a strong wind from the west-northwest. A new snow cover will form and in combination with the wind there will be conditions for the formation of drifts and drifts. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around minus 2°, at 2000 meters - around minus 5°.
