At its last meeting, the Municipal Council in Kyustendil adopted an ordinance that prohibited children under the age of 14 from riding electric scooters, and allowed youths up to the age of 18 to ride only on bike lanes.

This is just a joke, but they are not allowed to ride with two people, they are not allowed to ride without reflective elements on their clothes. The fines are preventive and are below one hundred BGN for individual violations, with the main goal being to prevent more serious incidents. The employees of the municipal security unit will monitor compliance with the ordinance.
