The incident with the fire of a luxury yacht in the marina of Porto Karas, whose owners are Bulgarians, has caused considerable interest, as the value of the vessel is estimated at 20 million euros. The fire service has launched a large-scale investigation, also looking into the possibility of arson.
According to the information, the authorities are considering the possibility that the fire is related to the activities of the Bulgarian mafia, which in the past has left traces of its activity in areas of Halkidiki, such as Sithonia and Kassandra. This version is supported by previous data on criminal activity related to the mafia in question, but the investigation continues.
Additional information is awaited as the investigation progresses, with authorities taking a very careful approach to gathering evidence to determine the cause of the fire.
