The policeman who shot the robber Svetlio Mladenov during a race last year in Sofia committed suicide committed suicide, reported Lupa.bg.
The detective killed the 18-year-old robber during a chase in the capital on September 18 last year. He and two of his companions hit a girl in the head with a pipe, robbed her and ran away. The robbery took place in the area of the mall on Cherni Vrah Blvd. The three stopped at the warning shots of the police. Svetlio was hit and taken to hospital, where he died.
It turned out that the policeman had fired with his personal weapon, not his service weapon. That is why an investigation was started against him. It is not clear whether the shooting of Svetlio has anything to do with the suicide of the man, who is in his 30s.
