Brasov is the most attractive city to live in Romania according to the Index on the attractiveness of cities, prepared by the Romanian Institute for Visionary Cities, reports Ajepress, quoted by BTA.
Cluj-Napoca is in second place, followed by Oradea, Sibiu and Timisoara. The top ten of the most attractive cities to live in Romania are completed by Constanta, Bucharest, Iași, Alba Iulia and Piatra Neamc.
The analysis includes the evaluation of 11 factors. Leisure opportunities have the greatest relative importance, surpassing even traditional factors such as well-paid jobs or basic infrastructure.
The methodology used combines official statistics from various sources: the National Statistical Institute and ministries, residents' and tourists' assessments obtained from platforms such as TripAdvisor and Google Places, in the period 2022-2023
Brasov is the seventh largest city in Romania with a population of 253,200. It is located in Transylvania, about 160 km from Bucharest, where the Southern and Eastern Carpathians meet. It contains the narrowest street in Eastern Europe.
