Kevork Kevorkian: Similarities - 1
FAKTI.BG publishes opinions with a wide range of perspectives to encourage constructive debates.

The similarity of life that television newscasters and presenters most often present should cause them some suffering - although television has always preferred people whose hearts are made of shit.

And yet, how can you not feel sorry for them: the other day they were forced to say that the incomes of the population in our country are outpacing the expenses, can you imagine - three hurrahs! However, yesterday they had to announce that the minimum wage in our country continues to be the lowest in the EU. And today they have to somehow get over the fact that a solid share of the working population - again in our country - barely makes ends meet. The income fabrication sounds like a stinking profanity - but it also gets a pass to "free" airwaves, and televisions are content with their parrot role.

And their conscience is clear - if they have anything left of this product that is always in short supply for the media: they will tell you that they are simply quoting some idiotic outburst of Power, nothing more. Thus, televisions become some kind of likenesses, but this does not bother them at all.

After all, Life, in many cases, is something that has nothing to do with what the news reporters present, while striving to be as convincing as possible. This should be a great test for them, at least until they get used to the daily sacrifices of the Truth - but there is a complete lack of recognition of how this schizophrenic state affects them.

It is impossible for a book like "The Truth is: I Lie" to appear in our country of the American Ryan Holliday, who modestly calls himself a “media manipulator“ -although he is unconditionally recognized as the author of ingenious strategies with the help of which he abuses the online media giants. He presents his activities as frankly as possible: “My job is to lie to the mass media so that they can lie to you“. And Robert Green, the author of the well-known and bestseller in our country “The 48 Laws of Power“ defines Holliday's book as “a guide to the dark arts of using the media“.

Of course, any comparisons between Holliday and the little guys here will be absolutely inappropriate: he is a brilliant mentor, and they are the victims of their participation in an almost completely manipulated activity, they are simply its victims. But as such, they could suggest to us and even confirm some suspicions that have always tormented the curiosity of the audience. But so far no one has dared to do so, at least I can't think of anyone's confession that would bring us closer to the Truth.

Televisions have long since become brokers of the Crippled Truth, but they accept this fate quite calmly. They have refuted, and perhaps now even consider it a great honor to manage the Lie. Even the wildest lie with which they humiliate the audience does not affect their self-esteem in any way.

For them, Life is something dead, defenseless, and they are not afraid to mess with it as they see fit. And, after all, it must also slip through the sieve of a fairly efficient control – and as if that were not enough, the Great Self-Control of the “talking heads“ is always available.

The people from the televisions – heaven - as if they are already finally convinced that nothing depends on them. Their memory has long since thrown out the memory of some cases when even a single word was slapped like a Flag. With this butchery of supervision, today it will not be easy, but it is not impossible for the word-flag to still slip through. And it will be remembered and will do the job – even when the televisions have become a training ground in which an unimaginable bunch of politicians practice in the production of dirty words and nonsense, in endless, greedy “fooling“, if I use this famous word of Prof. Ivan Slavov.

And there is no need to go to extremes – someone threatens to blow his skull off on air, like in that famous film "Network" by Sidney Lumet - it is enough to say four nothings and nothings clearly and distinctly: "This is complete nonsense". What a wonderful combination it is - "Income is ahead of expenses. This is complete nonsense".

In this case, "nonsense" is the key word - because we have become, and not since yesterday, in the Paradise of Stupidity": we do everything in the most stupid way, and we ruin everything in the stupidest way. As if for everything we rely first on complete fools. We will not notice/do not want to notice the smart person and the smartness - even if they gouge out our eyes. They irritate us - unlike stupidity, which calms us, sometimes even delights us, we feel comfortable with it. Will someone tell us why we have come to terms with this idiocy? Why have we so carelessly parted with intelligence?

And haven't we already come to believe that our survival depends mostly on our complete stupidity?

A writer once said that “one day the earth will remain the domain of insects, molds and parasites, not of humans. Survival is the most important thing, and they are geniuses of adaptation. The human race is a fragile, pitiful, temporary phenomenon…“.

With all our tolerance for Stupidity, we can safely write those words on our flag – – “This is complete nonsense“ and go conquer yet another nonsense, get attached to it, etc. – we know our lesson. We also know the Italian proverb, which seems to have been written just for us: “The more things change, the more they stay the same“.

But at least we are not bored. Some time ago, an insurance company aired a truly dazzling advertisement that read: “There are no boring roads in Bulgaria” – and this elegantly exhausted all the vandalism that we will suffer from for many years to come: both the broken roads, which are evidence of the thieving genius of our rulers, and the animalistic aggressiveness of the little man, who is perceived as something different when he harnesses his blunderbuss, etc. That's how we drive it: other communities get bored with Stupidity – we get bored with Smartness, because we always have to be different.

We could have drawn our difference from the Past, but we foolishly abandoned it too – and we no longer have any choice but to resemble everything else but ourselves.

The Jew Zhirinovsky used to get away with it when asked about his origins: “My mother is Russian, and my father is a lawyer…”.

And Abramovich once told “Le Monde“: “Do you know what the difference is between a rat and a hamster? There is no difference, it is simply a matter of presentation.“

A matter of presentation!

Do we even realize how many similarities we present instead of their prototypes?

Fuck, let them consider us whatever they want - if we ever get to that point, let them ask ourselves for proof of what we are…
