France coach Didier Deschamps is chasing victory #100 in charge of the team in the meeting with Austria at the European Football Championship in Germany on Monday, BTA reports.
The Group D match will also mark the 55-year-old specialist's 154th match as head coach of the French national team, and his current record is 99 wins, 30 draws and 24 losses.
Deschamps won the World Cup both as a player and as a coach. At the head of the French squad, he recorded two finals, winning in 2018 in Russia and losing four years later to Argentina in Qatar.
"What keeps me going is passion, desire and dedication. What interests me is to always have new goals," said Didier Deschamps shortly before the start of France's participation in Euro 2024.
"At a very high international level, winning is really difficult and demanding. It's even more difficult because only one team can win and the others won't sleep," added Deschamps, for whom there is a chance to become the first to win the World Cup and the European Championship as both a player and a coach, but that's not something , which he worries about.
"The goal is related to the French national team in terms of what we have achieved and what we are capable of achieving," concluded Didier Deschamps.
