The Iranian army said today that it launched a drone attack on a key US military base in northwestern Kuwait, on the sixth day of the war in the Middle East, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.
"Drones of our naval forces attacked a site at the US forces' Udayri base in Kuwait", the Iranian army said in a statement broadcast on state television.
1,230 people have been killed in Iran since the start of the US and Israeli bombing campaign, the state news agency IRNA reported, quoted by Agence France-Presse.
AFP notes that it cannot independently verify this number. On Monday, the agency reported 1,045 deaths - both military and civilian.
“The number of martyrs of the aggressive military attacks reached 1,230 on March 5,” IRNA reported, citing a statement by the Martyrs and Veterans Foundation.
