450,000 soldiers and over 10,000 armored vehicles! Heavy defeats for Russia on the Ukrainian front - 1

Britain estimates that 450,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded and over 10,000 Russian armored vehicles have been destroyed in Ukraine, UK Defense Journal reports.

The number of Russian soldiers killed or wounded on the front in Ukraine is approaching half a million - a figure that does not take into account losses among private armies, such as the Wagner mercenary group. The estimate comes from the UK Ministry of Defense and was announced by Secretary of State Leo Doherty in response to a question.

The issue was raised by John Healy, the Labor MP and shadow defense secretary, who asked for data on the department's assessment of Russian military losses in Ukraine.

"According to our estimates, around 450,000 Russian servicemen have been killed or wounded, and tens of thousands more have already deserted since the beginning of the conflict. The number of dead servicemen serving in Russian private military companies (PMCs) is not clear," reports Leo Doherty.

It also states that "since the beginning of the conflict, Ukraine has destroyed, abandoned or captured more than 10,000 Russian armored vehicles, including nearly 3,000 main battle tanks, 109 aircraft, 136 helicopters, 346 unmanned aerial vehicles, 23 warships of all classes and over 1500 artillery systems of all types".

It is also noted that when the Russian invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022, Russia deployed almost 200,000 troops to Ukraine's borders under the pretext of military exercises. This would mean that in two years, Russia has lost more than twice as many soldiers as it trained at the start of the war, which was supposed to be a three-day "special military operation".

The British Ministry of Defense estimates are not far off from those of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, which estimates that the Russian army has lost more than 465,000 soldiers in Ukraine.
