Poland wants the "best possible relations with America, regardless who is in power", Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Szykorski said yesterday during a visit to Washington, Reuters reported, referring to the Polish news agency PAP, quoted by BTA.
"We will not repeat the mistakes of our predecessors by betting all our chips on one color,", Shikorski said yesterday, quoted by PAP.
Poland's former nationalist government enjoyed good relations with former US President Donald Trump, even as Warsaw's policymaking raised concerns about its allegiance to democratic values and strained relations with European Union allies.

After Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election, Warsaw decided not to officially recognize him as the president of the United States for several weeks.
Shikorski's visit to Washington was intended to give him an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations, security issues and the war in Ukraine with American officials.
