An accident with two injured occurred today on the ring road of Smolyan, informed by the OD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Smolyan. The collision was caused by a car that took the right of way, and the victims were traveling in the second car.
The two cars crashed at the intersection next to the fire station in Raykovo district. A Plovdiv-registered Ford, driven by a 67-year-old man, took the right-of-way, resulting in an almost head-on collision with a Smolensk-registered Opel. The 64-year-old driver of the Opel and a woman traveling with him in the front seat were injured. The two were taken to the hospital in Smolyan with head injuries, which are not life-threatening.
The driver who caused the accident was uninjured.
