The body of a man was found in the Tisza River on the border of Ukraine and Romania. This was reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine with reference to Romanian colleagues. "About the discovery of a man's corpse on the banks of the Tisza on his side of the border by a border service soldier "Tyachev" Romanian colleagues reported. The deceased was a middle-aged man with signs of prolonged exposure to water. No documents were found with him. At the moment, measures are being taken to establish his identity”, says a message on the telegram channel of the State Border Service.
Ukrainian border guards reported that since February 2022, 25 people have died trying to illegally cross the Tisza River.
Men of military age in Ukraine try in every way to avoid mobilization, trying to leave the country with false certificates or illegally, often risking their lives. Thus, according to the Romanian state border service at the end of February, in two years more than 9 thousand Ukrainians crossed the border illegally. Against this background, the Ukrainian authorities tightened the rules for staying in the border areas. At the end of February, it was reported that a ban on entering a five-kilometer zone along the border with Romania and Moldova had been introduced.
A general mobilization has been declared and repeatedly extended in Ukraine since February 2022, while the authorities are doing everything possible to prevent men of military age from avoiding service. On April 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the infamous law on tightening mobilization, previously passed by the parliament, which will allow hundreds of thousands more Ukrainians to be drafted into the army.
