"The modest parade“, organized this year in Moscow on the occasion of the celebration in Russia on Victory Day, proved the shortage of tanks in the army, writes the journalist of the German newspaper BILD Björn Stritzel.
He recalls that in 2022 T-90 and T-14 "Armata" tanks passed through Red Square. However, for the second year in a row, only one 80-year-old T-34, "taken out of the museum", participated in the parade.
"Putin's regime apparently can no longer spare T-90s for the parade; dozens of such tanks have already been destroyed in Ukraine”, writes the columnist. He describes today's parade as "more modest than before the invasion of Ukraine” and "an almost exact repeat of last year“.
The only new item among the armored vehicles shown on Red Square earlier in the day was the "Linza“ armored ambulance based on the KAMAZ-53949 "Typhoon“ 4x4. And the largest armored vehicles were Z-STS "Ahmat" brought from the Chechen Republic.
