It is noted that "Cyclone" is one of four Russian "Karakurt"-class ships capable of using "Kalibre" missiles, and has been operating in the Black Sea since 2022.
According to British intelligence, two of these ships may have been transferred to the Caspian Sea for safe sea trials after a series of successful Ukrainian attacks. The fourth ship of the group was badly damaged in a Ukrainian attack in November 2023.

While this is unlikely to significantly change the impact the Russian navy has on Ukrainian operations, it highlights the continued danger to Russian forces operating around Crimea and in the Black Sea region, and Ukraine's continued success in conducting coordinated strikes, reports from the British MoD.
