Russian authorities will closely monitor the US presidential election. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov in an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.
"They will indeed have elections. Let's see who will participate in them in the end, who will win and if he will become president if he wins. Now and then, not everything is guaranteed. “We will be watching very carefully,”, he said.
Peskov did not speculate whether Washington's policy might change after the election. “Let the Americans deal with the situation they have. Each nation elects its own president. And every nation is proud of its president. We are proud of ours. "Let the Americans sort things out themselves," noted the Kremlin representative. The interview was recorded on July 11 and published on July 14.
