He made the comment following the killing of a Turkish-American woman by Israeli soldiers, according to Palestinian and Turkish officials, during a protest against the expansion of Jewish settlements in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
„The only step that will stop Israeli arrogance, Israeli banditry, and Israeli state terrorism is a union of Islamic countries,” Erdogan said at an event of an association of Islamic schools near Istanbul.
He said the latest steps Turkey has taken to improve ties with Egypt and Syria are aimed at “forming a line of solidarity against the growing threat of expansionism,” which he said also threatens Lebanon and Syria.

Erdogan hosted Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Ankara this week. They discussed the war in Gaza and ways to continue to warm their long-frozen relationship. This was the first visit of an Egyptian president to Turkey in 12 years.
Relations between the two countries began to thaw in 2020 as Turkey began diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions with regional rivals including the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Erdogan said in July that Turkey would extend an invitation to Syrian President Bashar Assad “at any time” about possible talks to restore relations between the two neighboring countries, which severed ties in 2011 after the outbreak of the civil war in Syria.
Israel does not comment on Erdogan's statements today.

Pargov noted that what is happening in the BSP “is not a palace coup, because Ninova was not an empress”.
“The truth is that what happened in BSP happened many times back in the history of the party. In modern politics and life, 5 years to manage something is a long time. 10 years is a lot, she ruled for 8 years ”, he pointed out.
He hinted that a transformation is coming in BSP.

Dogan or Peevski - who will win?
Regarding the conflict between Delyan Peevski and Ahmed Dogan, Pargov believes that the only trump card of the honorary chairman of the DPS is the ethnic vote. According to him, the DPS, which according to him was built on the model of the BKP, will not be the same party with the same role after these elections.
“It is obvious that Peevski has a significant advantage in terms of strength, resources and material nature, and it is visible. The only trump card of Dogan himself is the ethnic vote, as he is a symbol of this vote, he was built to be such, it is no accident that he has been the embodiment of this vote for 35 years now”, believes Pargov.
