Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered an increase in the size of the Russian army by 180,000 troops to 1.5 million, Reuters reported, citing his decree published on the website of Kremlin, writes BTA.
According to the decree, which will enter into force on December 1, 2024, the number of the armed forces of Russia is set at 2,389,130 people, of which 1,500,000 are military personnel.
