Israel will continue to strike against "Hezbollah" in Lebanon, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, quoted by France Presse, while the exchange of blows on both sides of the border continues, BTA writes.
"We will continue to strike at "Hezbollah". And I say to the Lebanese people: our war is not against you, our war is against "Hezbollah", the Israeli prime minister emphasized in a video released by his office.
The Israeli army announced today that in a strike in Beirut, it killed Ibrahim Muhammad Qubeisi, the commander of the rocket forces of "Hezbollah", according to Reuters. He died together with leading commanders of the rocket forces of the Shiite movement.
Qubeisi joins "Hezbollah" in the 1980s and has since held senior positions in the organization's military structure, being responsible for planning and carrying out numerous attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians, the Israeli military said.
The armed forces added that they are currently carrying out large-scale strikes against targets of "Hezbollah" in Lebanon.
