A day of mourning has been announced for today in Izmail for those who died in last night's drone attack, dariknews.bg reported, citing BTA correspondent Svetlana Dragneva.

In the Ukrainian city on the Danube, they continue to liquidate the consequences of the Russian attack and provide assistance to the victims.

"Infrastructural facilities and residential blocks, as well as many houses, were damaged. The home of a large family with a two-month-old baby was completely destroyed. Fourteen people received injuries of varying degrees of severity. "Unfortunately, three people have died," said the message of the mayor of Izmail, Andrey Abramchenko, published on his Facebook page.

He added that the clearing of the destruction after the impact has begun.

According to his information, the City Hall is providing the necessary assistance to the victims. Families in need of shelter will be accommodated and provided with everything they need. The city authorities announce that the residents of Izmail can bring aid to the victims at the following addresses: 20 Cathedral St. and "Pridunayska 441".

The Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, as well as the mission of the Red Cross, are located there.

The mayor of the city informed that all events and concerts on the occasion of the Day of the City are prohibited due to mourning.
