On Friday around 07:00 in the city of Energodar in the Zaporizhzhia region, a car carrying Andrey Korotki, chief of physical security at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZAEP), exploded. He has been declared a war criminal in Ukraine, UNIAN news agency reports, as quoted by Focus.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Korotky is an associate involved in organizing and carrying out war crimes and repression against Ukrainians under occupation.
Intelligence services note that after the capture of Zaporizhzhia, the Korotki NPP voluntarily cooperated with Russian forces, providing plant employees with lists of personal data of citizens with a pro-Ukrainian position.
"He participated in the repression against the personnel of the nuclear power plant and war crimes in the temporarily occupied Energodar. He has constantly organized events in support of the Russian occupation army. As a member of Putin's party, he led the so-called People's Council in Energodar", the announcement states.
GUR did not provide further details about the incident, but stressed that every war criminal will receive a just retribution.
