As a result of today's attack in Odessa, one person was killed and eight were injured, two of whom are in a serious condition, Oleg Kiper, the chairman of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, announced in the Telegram application, quoted by BTA.
According to Oleg Kiper, the target of the Russians was the port infrastructure.
All the injured and the deceased are collaborators in the port and are Ukrainian citizens, according to the announcement of the regional governor.
Two merchant ships were damaged – one under the flag of Belize and the other a bulk carrier sailing under the flag of Palau, Kiper informed.
Damage was caused to the port infrastructure, including a grain warehouse, adds the governor of Odesa region.
Bulgarians in Odesa region number over 150,000 people according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. In the city of Odesa itself live about 50-60 thousand Bulgarians. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in Bolgrad, Izmail and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
