Israel has carried out several strikes on affiliates of a financial group linked to " Hezbollah", reported the Lebanese news agency NNA and France Press, quoted by BTA.
There were also Israeli strikes in the area of the international airport in Beirut "Rafik Hariri".
Two bombings were carried out near the airport, a Lebanese security source said. The airport is the only one that operates international flights to and from Lebanon.
Earlier, the Israeli army warned residents of the southern suburbs of Beirut in the area of the branches of the financial company "Al Qard al Hassan" to evacuate immediately. The company is accused by Israel of financing "Hezbollah".
According to the NNA, evacuation warnings were followed by strikes targeting branches of the financial company. Various areas in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital were affected. A big fire broke out there.
Strikes against affiliates of the financial organization were also carried out in the Bekaa Valley, in the Hermel region and in Riyak. A former financial company building was hit by an enemy drone in the city of Baalbek.
"Al Qadr al Hasan" has been subject to US sanctions since 2007. The financial company is also considered a terrorist organization by Saudi Arabia. According to the US Treasury "Al Qadr al Hassan" was used by "Hezbollah" to use it to disguise the Lebanese pro-Iranian movement's economic activities and gain access to the global financial system.
At the same time "Hezbollah" announced that it had shot down an Israeli drone over Lebanon, but did not specify where it happened, France Press reported. It is about a downed drone "Hermes 450".
