Israel to sue Macron - 1

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said he had ordered his ministry to begin legal proceedings against French President Emmanuel Macron after Paris banned Israeli companies from participating in an upcoming naval trade show, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

The decision to bar Israeli firms is the latest incident in a row fueled by Macron's government's concern over Israel's actions in the Gaza and Lebanon wars.

"Yuronaval" organizer of the Nov. 4-7 naval exhibition in Paris, said last week that the French government had informed him that Israeli delegations were not allowed to set up their own stands or display equipment, but could attend the trade show. The decision affected seven companies, the announcement says.

"I have instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take legal and diplomatic action against the French president's decision to prevent Israeli companies from presenting their products at the @SalonEuronaval exhibition in Paris next month,'' Katz said in "X".< /p>

"Repeatedly boycotting Israeli companies or imposing unacceptable conditions are undemocratic measures that are not acceptable between friendly nations. I call on President Macron to cancel them entirely," Katz added.

At the same time, Israel announced that in the coming hours Israel will carry out precision strikes on objects belonging to the financial unit of "Hezbollah" in Lebanon and called on the residents of the areas near these sites to evacuate.

"In the coming hours, we will attack a number of targets,", military spokesman Daniel Hagari stressed at a briefing. "In the coming hours, we will issue an evacuation warning to Lebanese residents in Beirut and other places to evacuate from sites that are used to finance the terrorist activity of "Hezbollah".

A senior Israeli intelligence official added that various branches of the Iranian-backed financial arm of "Hezbollah" "Al Qard al Hasan".

No details were given on the location of the objects to be attacked.
In 2007, the US imposed sanctions on "Al Qard al Hassan", saying it was being used by "Hezbollah" "as a cover for managing the financial activities of the terrorist group and gaining access to the international financial system,", Reuters recalls.
