Ukraine has registered the movement of North Korean troops from a training base in the Far East deep into Russian territory, the UNIAN agency reported.
The head of the Counter-Disinformation Center of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Kovalenko said that Russia first planned to use the Koreans during the fighting in the Kursk region.
There is already intelligence, confirmed by Western services, that thousands of Pyongyang soldiers have been sent to Russia to join its war against Ukraine on the side of aggressor Vladimir Putin.
Military-political analyst Oleksandr Kovalenko sharply criticized the “idiotic statements” to US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. Austin said there is evidence that there are North Korean troops in Russia, but it is still unclear what they are doing there.
„Yes, there is such a thing as political correctness and factuality, but strong historical leaders were strong in their determination, without these ephemeral conventions. He could go down in history as a winner, but he will go down as a weakling,” said Kovalenko, according to whom the head of the Pentagon dares not call things by their true names.
„The United States is a country that must demonstrate determination and readiness to confront totalitarian regimes and dictatorships,” Kovalenko said. He also criticized the ongoing Western ban on Ukraine attacking military bases on Russian territory with Western missiles.
Earlier this year, the Ukrainian army launched a surprise offensive in Russia's Kursk region, occupying Russian territory.
