The Israeli army announced the end of its air operation against military targets in Iran and indicated that its planes had returned home safely, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
According to representatives of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the attack hit "surface-to-air missile systems and other assets of the Iranian Air Force".

Iran, for its part, said its air defense systems successfully countered the Israeli strikes, but that "limited damage" was inflicted in some places. A statement from Iran's air defenses said Israel attacked military targets in Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam provinces.

On October 1, Iran launched a massive air attack on Israel, launching nearly 200 ballistic missiles. It was the second Iranian attack on Israel in the last six months. Israeli officials have vowed to retaliate, and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that if the Islamic Republic is attacked, its response "will be more powerful".
