Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the ratification of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty between Russia and North Korea, which was announced today, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
The treaty was signed on June 19 this year in the capital of the DPRK, Pyongyang, and submitted for ratification to the Russian State Duma (lower house of parliament) on October 15.
The treaty states that it meets the interests of the Russian Federation and the DPRK and "serves to ensure peace and regional and global security and stability,", TASS said.
