Armistice unlikely: Moscow concentrates forces in key regions - 1

According to the latest analysis by The Economist, the initiative in the Russo-Ukrainian war is currently on Moscow's side, making a ceasefire proposal from the Kremlin unlikely. The Russian focus is aimed at consolidating positions in a number of battles, as quoted by Focus.

The publication notes that Ukrainian troops are likely to retreat from Kurakhovo, where Russian forces have a six-fold numerical advantage. The journalists also highlight Ukraine's difficulties in the Kursk region, where Russian troops, backed by suspected North Korean forces, are on the offensive.

In the Zaporozhye region, which is strategically important for its industrial capacity, intense fighting is expected to begin, and according to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia may be preparing to attack the regional capital.
