The timely delivery of missiles for Ukraine's air defense, the implementation of agreements on defense systems and the production and delivery of radio-electronic warfare systems are critical to saving human lives, Ukrainian President Volodymyr said today Zelensky, quoted by Ukrinform and BTA.
"This morning saw another combined Russian attack on our cities, to which our air defenses responded effectively. We were able to shoot down Russian missiles, including ballistic and cruise missiles, that were attacking Kiev, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles," wrote Zelensky in "Telegram". He specified that about 90 drones were used in the attacks.
"It is important that our forces have the means to protect the country from Russian terror. I am grateful to each and every one of the partners who help us. The timely delivery of missiles for our air defense system and the implementation of agreements for the production and delivery of radio electronic warfare means, without exaggeration, saving human lives. Any such display of effectiveness by our air defenses means lives saved and infrastructure protected," pointed out Zelensky.
The Ukrainian president noted that "the more results our soldiers achieve, the closer the end of the war will be." "Thus peace is achieved through strength," he stressed.
Earlier today, by 10:00 a.m. (and Bulgarian time), the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down two Kh-101 cruise missiles, two "Iskander-M" and 37 "Shaheed" attack drones.
