A Moscow military court sentenced to eight years in prison colony, a 43-year-old woman for publishing anti-war comments online, including several calling for the assassination of President Vladimir Putin, reported "Reuters", quoted by News.bg.
The woman - Anastasia Berezhinskaya, a Moscow-based theater director, was found guilty of two wartime censorship laws - discrediting the Russian military and spreading false information about it - as well as justifying terrorism.
On May 14, 2022 she posted several messages on the social network in which she insulted Putin, pointing out that he was personally responsible for the deaths of men, women and children whose bodies were pulled from the rubble of Ukrainian apartment blocks. Moscow denies deliberately attacking civilians.
In May, Anastasia Berezhinskaya began calling in her messages for the death of Vladimir Putin, who, at 72, was on track to become the longest-reigning Russian leader since Empress Catherine the Great in the 18th century.
Mediazona reported that Berezhinskaya pleaded guilty to charges of spreading "forgeries" and discrediting the army, but has only partially pleaded guilty to terrorism charges. In addition, according to materials in the case, the 43-year-old woman suffers from a mixed personality disorder, the publication also states.
