An Iranian training plane crashed in the south of the country, killing two people on board, reported the Iranian news agency IRNA, quoted by BTA.
The head of the security department in Iran's Fars province governorate said the plane crashed earlier in the day at 2:45 p.m. local time in the area of the city of Firuzabad, located about 100 km south of the provincial capital of Shiraz.
The executive said the pilot and co-pilot of the training plane died in the crash. He added that more details about the incident will be released later.
