Skoda launches a large seven-seat crossover

Under the sheet metal of the Peaq model lies the concern's latest architecture, designed specifically for electric vehicles

In just a few months, in June, the world will officially get to know Skoda's new flagship - the Peaq model. This large-scale, seven-seat crossover promises to rearrange the cards in the brand's portfolio, while preserving the DNA that made the Czechs the favorites of the practical buyer. The news, initially spread by our colleagues from Autoexpress.co.uk, is already exciting fans of high technology and ecological mobility in our country. However, it will also be quite expensive. Speculation is that prices will exceed 60,000 euros.

The designers from Mlada Boleslav have apparently decided to turn their backs on the overly aggressive and sharp edges that have dominated so far. The Peaq exterior will surprise us with an almost “liquid” silhouette, entirely subordinate to aerodynamic efficiency. Oh, this minimalism! Every line here has its function, and the smooth transitions between the details not only please the eye, but also help the air to flow around the body without unnecessary resistance. Despite the modern appearance, no one will be mistaken - this is Skoda, which relies on clean chic, without falling into unnecessary extravagance.

Under the sheet metal hides the latest architecture of the concern, designed specifically for the future of batteries. Although the headquarters is keeping the technical parameters under wraps, the first leaked data paints the general picture. The crossover is expected to “jump” the 500 kilometer mark on a single charge, which automatically removes it from the “city toys” column and turns it into a car for out-of-town driving. The fast charging system will ensure that the stay at the station will be enough for a quick espresso before you hit the road again.

The interior of the Peaq will be a true digital temple, but without sacrificing the cozy atmosphere. The driver will have the latest technology in digital instruments, and passengers will enjoy next-generation connectivity. And since we are talking about a seven-seater car, the interior space will be more than generous. Of course, the engineers have not forgotten their “Simply Clever“ tricks - those small but ingenious solutions that make everyday life easier and that have become a trademark of the brand.
