The price of this Zhiguli is... 60,000 euros

The owner claims that the station wagon left the assembly line on the very first day of its production in 1971

A rather interesting car has appeared in the vast Russian expanse. It is located in Novosibirsk and is a perfectly restored VAZ-2102, which is now listed for sale for an impressive 6 million rubles, which at the current exchange rate is equivalent to about 60,000 euros. This is not just another Soviet classic, but a time machine that takes us back to the very beginning of the model's history in Togliatti.

The owner of this Zhiguli claims that the station wagon left the assembly line on the very first day of its production in 1971. If you look at the chassis number, you will find that the car is among the first fifty copies ever to see the light of day, and is part of a limited series of only 250-300 units assembled in that debut year.

The seller claims that the condition of the car is impeccable, as it has undergone a precise and high-quality restoration to regain its authentic shine. The mileage shows a symbolic 10,000 kilometers, which explains why the car looks as if it has just left the factory.

Under the hood of this VAZ-2102 is the classic 1.2-liter unit with a power of 64 hp, which transmits traction to the rear wheels through the well-known manual gearbox. This find is a rare chance to touch a piece of socialist history, preserved in an absolutely original form.
