"Dear students, I wish you much health, drive and success on the bright path to study. Fight for your dreams, do not bend before challenges, but use them as a springboard for future successes. Be worthy of building your future and the wonderful future of modern European Bulgaria. It will depend on you. Good luck!”.

With these words, President Rumen Radev, who participated in the solemn opening of the school year at the First English Language High School and the 112th Primary School “Stoyan Zaimov“ in Sofia, addressed the graduates of the two educational institutions, quoted by Nova TV.

„It is a great pleasure for me to open the new school together. Thank you for the invitation to share the excitement of the first school bell, which will echo throughout Bulgaria today. Because for generations, the first day of school has been a real excitement for every Bulgarian home. A day when our children embark on the bright path of knowledge”, said the head of state to the gathered students, parents and teachers.

In his words, the two educational institutions have established themselves as centers of knowledge with their healthy traditions, their established pedagogical approaches and broad opportunities for personal development. „You have built a modern and wonderful ecosystem, namely an excellent coexistence between the two schools, although they have a different profile. But no matter how different this profile is - you have a common view of the future. And it is - the building of not only intellectual development, but also spiritually elevated future citizens of the homeland”.

Radev expressed gratitude to Bulgarian teachers - for their dedication to their highly noble mission, for their love and care for the wonderful young generation of Bulgaria.

The President also thanked the parents of the students, “without whose constructive role and support, the efforts in the educational process would be in vain”.

“I want to wish success to our first-graders. And to the high school graduates, for whom this year will be their last at school – I want to urge you to carry the homeland in your heart, no matter where you choose to continue your education or live afterwards”, said the head of state.
