Tsoncho Ganev: The government is about to fall, and the opposition refuses to have a vote of no confidence

We have not been in parliament for a month, because this parliament is insolvent. Even when there was a quorum in previous weeks, the parliament was sitting from 9 to 11 am

Bulgaria is in a strange situation, in which the government of Peevski and Borisov is about to fall. This was stated by the MP from “Vazrazhdane” Tsoncho Ganev.

“Several regional cities have a water regime. Back in July, Vazrazhdane prepared a vote of no confidence due to the water crisis. Then we consulted with all the opposition parties, only “Velichy” signed. Five votes are needed to submit a vote of no confidence on this topic. I and Adv. Petrov went to the MECH room, and their side insisted - Kostadinov had personally begged them and they would have thought about it. There are no arguments for arguments, they want someone to beg them“, he explained.

“Assen Vassilev refuses, Kiril Petkov refuses, Mirchev refuses, APS refuses, Radostin Vassilev refuses too. Here we come to the main topic - it is not important who says what, but what he does with his actions. We support all votes of no confidence, no matter how unfounded they are. MECH refuses to give five votes and let's go to a debate to overthrow the government“, Ganev also said.

According to him, the ruling coalition is collapsing: “It is collapsing from within. The government is ready to fall, and the opposition refuses to have a vote of no confidence.”

About the failure of the quorum in the National Assembly for three consecutive days, Ganev explained: “We have not been in parliament for a month, because this parliament is insolvent. Even when there was a quorum in previous weeks, the parliament was sitting from 9 to 11 am, laws were passed that further destroyed the post offices and the Bulgarian Railways. This parliament must go and we must hold new elections. It is not our duty to have a quorum, we are on the ground in our electoral districts.“
