Bansko celebrates 113 years since its liberation today. October 5 is also the city's holiday.
The celebrations began at the beginning of the week with an exciting photo exhibition of photos that captured the most emotional moments from the first days and years of freedom, which came to the Pirin region with a full 34 years of delay, writes BNR.
A rich archive of photos, letters and documents has been preserved by the Museum Complex in Bansko, which is enriched every year. Like this letter in which Bansko residents from Sofia ask their relatives in the city "How is freedom now with you?".
