Fines for average speeding to begin in 10 days. Currently, the adaptation of the Ministry of Interior and RIA systems is in its final testing phase, said Interior Minister Daniel Mitov.
According to data from the Ministry of Interior, by November 2025, 495 fewer serious accidents have been registered compared to the same period last year. There are 722 fewer injured people, but 8 more deaths.
“With a fifth more traffic, the trend in road injuries will decrease. Real discipline will be required when road users start paying their fines and generating penalties. Then drivers will be much more motivated to comply with the restrictions”, believes Mitov.
