A second protest against Budget 2026 erupted in cities across the country today. The largest was in the capital.

The protest march was scheduled for 6 p.m., but citizens gathered even earlier in the "Triangle of Power". The main demand of the protesters is the withdrawal of Budget 2026.

The protesters exceed 50 thousand people, which is twice as many as the protest that took place last week.

The protest march escalated after the gathered citizens went to the headquarters of "DPS - Novo nacholu", where stones, bombs, stakes and bottles were thrown.

There was also an escalation in front of the GERB "Oborishte" office, which was completely destroyed by a group of protesting men.

The protest in Plovdiv was also extremely large-scale. The main pedestrian street in the city was filled with thousands tonight, gathered for a protest, which in terms of scale and atmosphere is one of the largest public gatherings in the city in years.

In Varna , the protest against Budget 2026 was marked by escalation and aggression from football fans. Some of the protesters are unhappy, as they believe that the protest is being politicized and the focus is placed on Mayor Kotsev, and not on the reason why the citizens gathered, namely Budget 2026.

In Burgas , thousands also came out to protest against the state budget for 2026. The area in front of the Municipality building and the Clock Tower is packed with people.

Crowds of protesters also gathered in Ruse, Blagoevgrad, Shumen, Yambol, Lovech, Veliko Tarnovo, Dobrich, Sliven and other Bulgarian cities.

The general discontent was also supported by our compatriots living in Austria. They organized a peaceful protest in Vienna.
