The description of the damage after the flood in the village of Gelemenovo in the Pazardzhik region begins tomorrow, reports BNT. Several ground floors and yards, as well as agricultural areas there, were flooded on Christmas Day by the rising waters of the Telki Dere River.
Meanwhile, "Irrigation Systems" stopped work on restoring the dikes due to tension with local residents. According to people, a comprehensive project should be made for the reconstruction of the facility and the ravine should be put into a concrete bed. They are against the uprooting of trees around the Telki Dere dam, as they prevented the dam from breaking due to the high water pressure.
According to "Irrigation Systems", however, the asphalt pavement must be destroyed in order to raise the level of the dam. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food is about to file a report with the prosecutor's office about the impossibility of working in the Gelemenovo region.
