Atanas Atanasov: We find no basis for cooperation with Rumen Radev, we have serious disagreements with him

I hope that the new party functionary Rumen Radev will enter into communication with Bulgarian society through the media and answer the important questions

At this stage, based on the positions that Rumen Radev has held as president, we find no basis for cooperation. This was stated by the leader of the DSB, Atanas Atanasov, to the Bulgarian National Radio.

We have serious differences with Radev, especially on foreign policy, he noted.

"We should judge people not by words, but by deeds", Atanasov emphasized and reminded that by order of Radev as president, his caretaker government suspended military-technical assistance to Ukraine.

"Where does Rumen Radev stand on the Russia-Ukraine axis?", the leader of the DSB asked.

In his words, Rumen Radev is not a new face in politics. "I hope that the new party functionary Rumen Radev will enter into communication with Bulgarian society through the media and provide answers to important questions", he said.

In the program "Nedelya 150" Atanas Atanasov pointed out that the coalition is still negotiating an agreement to run together in the elections.

"At this stage, we have 3 requests from the 3 parties in the coalition that we will run together. From here on out, these are the conditions. We may have differences and we will have to seek their resolution," he said.

According to him, the goal of the coalition is to be the leading political force.

He declared that they have not given up on nominating a common candidate for president of the country. According to him, work is underway, although the early parliamentary elections have now complicated the situation a bit.

According to him, the efforts of the democratic community should be directed towards the parliamentary elections, because they are very important for where Bulgaria will go.

The DSB leader also commented on the electoral changes. According to him, there is a rift in the ruling coalition: "There are people who are putting conditions on GERB - if you don't support us for the optical devices, we won't support the closure of the Commission for Combating Corruption (CPC). I've seen this, heard from reliable sources. They are blackmailing each other".

Atanasov is of the opinion that "this political scum - CPC" should be closed. According to him, this commission was a mistake, although there were important circumstances that necessitated its creation. He believes that now they are "preparing to sweep away the outrages".

"Within the previous ruling coalition, there are difficult relations, blackmail between them", he was categorical. Atanasov did not rule out the possibility that "ITN, lobbying so hard for these scanners, may have an expectation of a commission".

He also criticized Rosen Zhelyazkov for our joining Donald Trump's Peace Council. According to him, it is still unknown what this organization will be. According to him, the whole story is very strange and puts us in a disadvantageous position.

Atanasov believes that there is no basis for ratification of the agreement in the National Assembly. However, if such a We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria will not support it, he declares.
