I am not surprised by the lack of official information on the "Petrohan" case. The investigators themselves are faced with an extremely serious crime - one that I don't remember happening for ages.
The fact is that the investigators probably already have information from the autopsies, since it is important to know whether the three victims were shot with the same weapon. In addition, it is important to clarify whether this weapon was legal, given the fact that, as far as I understand, they all had legally owned weapons.
This was stated in the studio of "Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov" by the former Sofia city prosecutor Nikolay Kokinov, commenting on the triple murder in the "Petrohan" hut.
When asked if it was possible for the wanted Ivaylo Kalushev to hide - for example in a cave, Kokinov pointed out that: "How long can you hide in a cave? You will hide for several months and they will still see you someday. A person who is hiding obviously has something to hide. According to the logic of the fugitive - it is more likely that he has left the country".
But he pointed out that "leaving the country with children is difficult, unless you have the appropriate training", commenting on the information that has emerged that together with Kalushev is a 15-year-old boy and another young man.
He explained that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has the appropriate ammunition magazine and it is easy to check who the shooter is and what weapon was fired from. According to him, when a permit to carry a weapon is issued, it is shot and a trace is taken, which is individual for each barrel. In practice, any crime committed with a legal weapon is relatively easy to detect through computer processing. I assume that the Ministry of Interior already has this information," Kokinov said.
He pointed out that, according to him, the phone prints have already been analyzed - both of the victims and the wanted persons. "These are perhaps the most important analyzes, from which it can be seen whether the wanted persons were together with the murdered persons, when they separated, etc. Usually such people do not use mobile phones much and operate with another type of communication, but at least the GPS data of the devices can be examined," emphasized the former city prosecutor.
Kokinov also commented on the agreement concluded between the Ministry of Environment and Water and the association “National Agency for Control of Protected Areas“.
"Apparently it is a fact and legitimizes the organization in question as something similar to an appendage of state power, although it does not have such legal powers. It legitimizes them before third parties as almost a state body and in my opinion that was the goal. I doubt that it is normal to register an NGO with the name “National Agency“. From my legal practice, I know that the Commercial Register is extremely delicate to such names and usually returns them. How it happened - I cannot guess. It is strange," he pointed out.
