Early this morning, at 5.30 am, a report of an accident on the road between the town of Belogradchik and the village of Rabisha, in the area of the village of Varba, was received by 112, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Vidin announced.
Police, fire and emergency teams immediately headed to the scene.
According to initial data, a passenger car left the roadway and crashed head-on into a roadside tree.
The driver died – 74-year-old from the village of Dabravka and the 54-year-old woman from the village of Rabisha, who was traveling in the front seat.
Two passengers from the car - a 46-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy - are admitted to Vidin Hospital.
A task force is inspecting the scene. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
