A flight with 140 people from Oman landed at "Vasil Levski" airport in Sofia. The owner of one of the foreign low-cost companies has organized the return of his employees who were in countries in the Middle East.

Among them are employees of the airline, who were gathered yesterday in Muscat by buses from Abu Dhabi, Oman and Dubai, as well as representatives of the Hungarian embassy in Oman. There are also Bulgarian employees of the airline on board. Yesterday they left Abu Dhabi by bus to Muscat and this morning the plane took off for Sofia.

Evacuation flights for Bulgarians stranded by the conflict in the Middle East begin tomorrow. They will bring back citizens who are in Oman, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynski announced earlier at a briefing after an emergency meeting with Acting Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov. According to her, the first flight will be to Oman, from where about 300 people are expected to board, if the situation on the ground is safe.

"There are countries with a significant number of Bulgarian citizens. We have information about Bulgarians who are in exotic resorts. It is more difficult to send planes there. I spoke with the Foreign Minister of Greece. He offered assistance in evacuating citizens from Oman. We are trying to immediately respond with safe routes for the stranded Bulgarians, all options have been mobilized - the government air force, the national carrier and companies with planes. There are many aspects of security. We hope to start the evacuation flights early tomorrow morning. The most difficult is with Israel, but all options are being sought. "We don't want to put anyone in the air at risk," Neynski explained.

The Foreign Minister stated that detailed lists have been prepared by country of Bulgarian citizens who could potentially be evacuated.
