The general administration of the closed Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), part of whose activities have been transferred to the Court of Accounts, is being reduced by nearly 18 percent. The goal is to optimize the organizational structure and increase the efficiency of work, the audit institution announced.

The Chairman of the Court of Accounts, Dimitar Glavchev, proposed to close 14 full-time positions from the general administration of the closed ACC, thus reducing the number of full-time positions flowing into the administration of the Court of Accounts from 79 to 65.

The goal is to optimize the organizational structure and increase the efficiency of work.

Three of the positions – of the chairman and the two members of the CPC, which were elected positions before the changes in the Law on the Court of Accounts, are being closed. 11 vacant positions are being reduced for positions that are similar to those existing in the administration of the Court of Accounts.

In 2025, the composition of the administration in the Court of Accounts was reduced by 10 percent as part of an administrative reform undertaken by Glavchev. The aim of the changes is more effective management of public funds and renewal of personnel policy.
