Ministry of Interior is checking whether Petyo Petrov - Euroto has been arrested in Belgrade

The acting Minister of the Interior made his comment during an official event for receiving new specialized equipment and techniques for the needs of the Border Police Directorate General

The Bulgarian government has sent an official inquiry to the Serbian capital regarding the possible detention of former investigator Petyo Petrov, known by his nickname Euroto. This was announced by the acting Minister of the Interior Emil Dechev, quoted by BTA.

At the moment, the domestic police do not have definitive information whether the wanted person is in the hands of law enforcement agencies in the neighboring country.

"We can neither confirm nor deny that former investigator Petyo Petrov was detained in Belgrade. We have made our request to our colleagues to confirm to us how true this information is," Emil Dechev told journalists.

The acting Minister of the Interior made his comment during an official event for receiving new specialized equipment and machinery for the needs of the General Directorate of the "Border Police".

Emil Dechev guarantees that as soon as the response from the Serbian authorities arrives in our country, the Ministry of the Interior will make the collected data public to the public.
